About SchoolNest HQ

School software should make the school day calmer.

SchoolNest is a school management platform built in Nigeria around the daily work of private schools. It brings fees, student records, attendance, report cards, lesson notes, timetables, parent communication, and gate check-in into one branded portal.

Why it exists

Built from the work schools repeat every term.

Many schools are not short of effort. They are short of one reliable place for the information their teams already create. A bursar keeps fee records in a spreadsheet. Teachers compile results on different devices. Attendance lives in paper registers. Parents call the office because they cannot check anything themselves.

SchoolNest connects those workflows without asking schools to become technology companies. Setup is hands-on, existing records can be imported, and each school receives its own branded portal for staff and parents.

The product is developed through controlled school pilots. Feedback from real teachers, administrators, and parents is used to simplify each workflow before wider rollout.

How we build

Four principles guide the product.

School work comes first

Every workflow starts from what a proprietor, teacher, bursar, parent, or gate officer needs to complete during a normal school day.

Simple enough for a phone

Teachers and parents should not need a laptop or repeated training to complete routine work. Mobile use is treated as the main experience.

Accountability without clutter

Payments, results, attendance, lesson notes, and approvals keep a clear record of who did what without turning the product into a complicated enterprise system.

The school owns its records

Schools can export their core data. Access is separated by school and role, and parent access is limited to linked children.

The founder

Abdulsalam Abubakar

I stay close to every school we onboard. That means watching how teachers use the product on their phones, listening when an administrator finds a workflow confusing, and making the system simpler before adding more.
